A RETREAT FOR WOMEN OVER 40
NOVEMBER 28th - DECEMBER 1st 2019
GOODNESTONE PARK, KENT
As women we start to change in the run-up and during our menopausal years. This retreat offers you a rich experience in the art of 'ageing gracefully'. It gives you the opportunity to deepen your understanding of your body and your relationship with life from a range of complementary perspectives.
Wherever you are on this very individual path, you can age gracefully, with vitality and purpose. You can shift your thinking, banish mood swings and boost self-compassion and sexual magnetism. It really can be a journey of joyful transformation where you feel more alive and connected to yourself than you ever imagined.
I've brought together five loving and expert women, each with different specialisms, to help you navigate the biological and emotional ups and downs of our changing wisdom, over a long weekend, at a country estate in Kent.
love yourself, love life; feel physically vital and emotionally grounded

Ageing Gracefully is born from my experience with the menopause, from my years working in wellbeing and from my passionate belief that this changing phase of life really can be joyful when we know how to connect with our bodies, with nature, our own wisdom and discernment. It’s not downhill from here. We can be the happiest we’ve ever been. I’m a messenger rather than an expert and I curate my retreats to offer you a broad range of approaches from women I admire, who’ve had an impact on me. And from a visceral belief that you can live in an aligned and fluid way. It’s in us all. I hope you’ll take away something to uplift your life now. And I intend, every time, that Ageing Gracefully is fun!
Kalindi has a deep understanding of the human energy system, psychology and sexuality. She helps people tap into, grow and use their sexual energy to enliven all areas of their lives.
Her unique talent comes from 20 years exploring her own and other people’s energy, from her study and practice in Taoism, Tantra, Vedic mysticism, bodywork and being present with life as it unfolds. She is a teacher and guide for a sensual way of living. Her approach energetically shifts negative patterns and emotional pain. Her body-sentient way of working encourages a deeper connection with our bodies, which expands our confidence and pleasure. It is a precious gift.
‘From the moment I met Kalindi, I was instantly magnetised to her. My first thought was ‘I want what she’s got!’ Asselle.

Having come to nutrition as a result of her own health issues stemming from work pressure, stress and poor eating habits, Jackie emphasises vitality and healthy ageing through diet, lifestyle, testing and supplementation. She is a member of the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM), registered with the British Association of Applied Nutrition (BANT), as well as the Complementary Healthcare Council (CNHC) and the Nutritional Therapy Council (NTCC). Paola Ferretti Johnson
Paola is a Qualified Practitioner in The Feldenkrais Method, a somatic form of movement, based on principles of physics, neurology and physiology, to relieve restricted movement and chronic pain and improve posture and flexibility.
Paola teaches Awareness Through Movement (ATM) mat classes that focus on sensing, resting and moving to engage the whole body, allowing it to replace old habits with new awareness and function. Her one-on-one Functional Integration (FI) work, with specific yet gentle manipulation, reorganises the body to treat minor aches to serious muscular skeletal issues.
Together with her years as a Pilates teacher, Paola’s Feldenkrais work fosters physical change and greater vitality and emotional wellbeing.
‘Paola, what a wonderful woman. I loved her 1:2:1 sessions and thought she was a miracle worker’. Lucy
Susan is a sound therapist, using gongs, drums, crystal bowls, tuning forks and Himalayan bowls, to heal. This form of vibrational medicine embraces different frequencies to release physical holding pattens and blockages and change thought forms and emotions.
Susan came to sound after years practicing as a wellbeing and massage therapist for leading product companies and spa divisions of five-star hotels across the globe, where she has also been an international training manager, on treatment creation and practitioner development.
Her passion for the healing power of sound has led to her to work with doctors, schools and local communities as well as individuals. Thanks to her vast knowledge she blends a range of techniques in her truly unique, transformative experiences.
Each day starts with a nature walk or Feldenkrais with Sophie or Paola.
After breakfast spend each of the three mornings in a group workshop alternating between Kalindi, Annie and Jackie.
Annie shares her medical expertise and information around hormone replacement therapy and self-care in mid-life.
Kalindi takes you through a mix of ideas, meditations, movement and breathing to tap into, play with and fully live the magic of your female body.
Jackie shares details on our body systems and advice on eating to support your hormones and energy levels.
During the afternoons Annie and Kalindi are available to chat.
You’re welcome to book a Functional Integration Feldenkrais treatment with Paola or a ‘sound’ face or body massage with Susan.
There will be time to wander around the beautiful estate and relax in the design-led elegance of Goodnestone.
Before supper we will have an open discussion one day and twilight walk with an enchanted experience on the other.
After supper, it's time to wind down with a sound bath with Susan or enjoy fun, female ‘play’ to further connect with your ‘goddess’ self.
Goodnestone Park is a privately-owned stately home in Kent and guardian of the oldest cedar tree in England. I’ve chosen it for its elegant interiors, chic detailing, sumptuous bedrooms and beautiful nature. The recently-renovated house is a fine example of Queen Anne architecture; it’s been in the same aristocratic family for 300 years and used to welcome Jane Austen as a regular visitor. It’s a luxurious escape in ancient woodland that touches all the senses.
